Every PA column is individually tested for coating efficiency, selectivity, film thickness, inertness, and bleed level. The end results that get delivered to you are columns that perform at their best, and offer you the highest inertness, lowest bleed, and greatest reproducibility of any column available. The extremely low bleed levels of PA columns improve low-level analysis by reducing detector noise, giving good signal-to-noise ratios for low-level compounds, leading to more accurate and reproducible results. A column of high inertness greatly improves results for active compounds. The inertness of PA columns allows analysis of acidic and basic compounds on the same column without the peak tailing that typically skews results for lowlevel analytes.
